EZRA #
Reading from William Carlos William's autobiography, one of the more entertaining relationships he had is with Ezra Pound. It's completely foreign to me to think that Pound, H.D., and a young William Carlos Williams were all in once place listening to YB Yeats read in London. Small world for poets, I suppose.
It is rather hilarious what we learn of these major poets, though. For one, Ezra, we are told, is a "thermal wussie", as I like to say.
It makes sense. Maybe that's why that METRO poem is so short.

It sounds like the relationship with Ezra Pound was a weird one for a lot of people.
I wonder what poetry students 50 years from now will be saying about the people writing now? Dare I say about us?
